Lightweight pet tags are better than metal. Do the math: Your cat might weigh 10 lbs. Say you weigh 150 lbs. You are 15x heavier than your cat. So 3 ounces around your cat’s neck is like 3x15=45 ounces. 16 oz = 1 lb, so that is like almost 3 pounds around your neck. Rescue Tags just weigh a fraction of an ounce.
